After North Korea and Russia signed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty on the 19th, North Korea's high-ranking military corps departed Pyongyang for Russia on the 8th, North Korea's Korean Central News Agency reported.

It is known that the visit to Russia by the North Korean People's Army military education delegation headed by Kim Geum-chol, president of Kim Il-sung Military University, was aimed at practically implementing the military treaty between North Korea and Russia.

북한과 러시아가 지난 19일 ‘포괄적 전략 동반자 관계 조약“을 체결한후 북한 고위군사단이 러시아를 향해 8일 평양을 출발했다고 북한 조선중앙통신이 보도했다.

김일성 군사종합대학 김금철 총장을 단장으로 조선인민군 군사교육단 대표단이 러시아를 방문한 것은 북러간의 군사조약을 실질적으로 이행하기 위한 차원이라고 알려졌다.

The NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) Summit will be held in Washington, DC, USA from the 9th to the 11th. In response, the North Korean military delegation's visit to Russia can be seen as intentional.

미국 워싱턴 DC에서는 9일부터 11일까지 NATO(북대서양 조약기구) 정상회의가 열린다. 이에 맞서 북한의 군사대표단이 러시아를 방문한 것은 의도적이라고 볼수 있다.

The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) said on the 9th that it would remain vigilant in observing North Korea's dispatch of a military delegation to Russia.

미국 국방부(펜타곤)은 9일 북한이 러시아에 군사대표단을 파견한 것에 대해 경계를 늦추지 않고 지켜볼 것이라고 밝혔다.

At the Pentagon briefing today, Press Secretary General Ryder responded my question, “Military cooperation between North Korea and Russia has become a matter of interest to NATO, and it was reported that a North Korean military delegation departed for Russia yesterday to effectively implement the recently concluded North Korea-Russia military agreement. What concerns does the U.S. Department of Defense have about this?”

He said "We've talked quite a bit, Janne, on the fact that we are concerned about the growing relationship between Russia and the DPRK. It goes back to what I highlighted earlier in terms of Russia's desperation to find partners that are willing to be complicit in their war of aggression against Ukraine. And so, it's something that we'll continue to keep a close eye on."

오늘 펜타곤 브리핑에서 대변인 라이더 장군은 “북한과 러시아의 군사협력은 NATO의 관심사가 되고 있는데, 북한 군사대표단이 최근 체결된 북-러 군사협정의 효과적인 이행을 위해 어제 러시아로 출국한 것으로 알려졌다. 이에 대해 미 국방부는 어떤 우려를 갖고 있느냐?”는 나의 질문에,

QUESTION:(Janne Pak): Thank you, General. Two questions on NATO meeting. Military cooperation between North Korea and Russia is becoming a concern for NATO. It was reported that North Korea's military delegation departed for Russia yesterday to effectively implement the recently concluded military treaty between North Korea and Russia.

What is the Pentagon's concern about this?
