The Constitutional Court on the 24th dismissed the impeachment of Acting President Han Duck-soo, 100 days after the opposition party's judicial tyranny. The acting president immediately returned to work.

한국의 야당의 사법횡포로 인해 한덕수 대통령 권한대행이 탄핵이 된지 100일만에 헌법제판소가 24일 기각을 선고했다. 권한대행은 즉시 업무에 복귀했다.

This is the aspiration and joy of the South Korean people who aspire for a free democratic market economy and the rule of law.

이는 자유민주주의 시장경제와 법치주의를 열망하는 한국국민들의 열망이며 쾌거이다.

The U.S. State Department and the White House unanimously welcomed the return of Acting President Han Duck-soo.

미국무성과 백악관은 한덕수 대통령 권한 대행의 복귀에 대해 일제히 환영했다.

The White House “supports the democratic resilience of South Korea and its people,” a spokesperson said briefly.

백악관은 “한국과 한국국민들의 민주적 회복력을 지지한다.”고 대변인이 짤막하게 언급했다.

The State Department responded to my written questions with more specific answers from Spokesperson Bruce.

[Below is the Q&A between Spokesperson Bruce and Janne Pak.]

국무성 대변인은 나의 서면질문에 Bruce대변인이 더 구체적인 답변을 해 왔다.

Q:(Janne Pak): South Korea’s acting President Han Duck-soo, who was impeached by the opposition party, immediately returned to work after the Constitutional Court rejected his impeachment.

야당에 의해 탄핵된 한국의 한덕수 권한대행 대통령은 헌법재판소가 탄핵을 기각한 후 즉시 업무에 복귀했다.

Despite this, the opposition party continues to threaten the judicial system by continuing to push for impeachment.

-How does the U.S. view this as an ally?

그럼에도 불구하고 야당은 탄핵을 계속 추진함으로써 사법 제도를 위협하고 있다.

-미국은 이를 동맹국으로서 어떻게 보는가?

A:(Spokesperson Bruce):1.The United States respects the ROK’s democratic institutions, its legal processes, and the decision of the Constitutional Court.

"미국은 대한민국의 민주적 제도, 법적 절차, 헌법재판소의 결정을 존중합니다."

2. We will continue our close cooperation with Acting President Han and his administration to advance the U.S.-ROK Alliance, as well as our shared economic and security objectives.

3. The United States stands firm in our support for the Korean people and for a future of close cooperation that brings security and prosperity to both our nations.

미국은 한국 국민과 두 나라에 안보와 번영을 가져다주는 긴밀한 협력의 미래를 확고히 지지합니다.

4. We reaffirm the enduring strength of the U.S.-ROK Alliance and our ironclad commitment to the defense of the ROK.

우리는 미-한 동맹의 지속적인 힘과 대한민국 방위에 대한 우리의 철통 같은 의지를 재확인합니다.

*The fact is that the U.S. will continue to trust and maintain a firm promise to the South Korean people who ultimately pursue liberal democracy and the security and prosperity of the two countries, and to the current President Yoon Suk-yeol's South Korea-U.S. alliance.

I hope that President Yoon will return as soon as possible and that the US-ROK summit will take place. (End)

*미국은 결국 자유민주주의를 지향하는 한국국민과 함께 두나라 안보 번영을 위해 그리고 현 윤석열 대통령의 한미동맹을 신뢰하고  굳건한 약속을 이어나갈것이라는게 팩트라고 본다.
