North Korea is making an unreasonable claim, saying that it was South Korea that sent the anti-North Korea leaflets along with the drone over Pyongyang. It is said that a drone entered the skies over Pyongyang on the 3rd, 9th, and 10th of October.

북한은 무인기와함께 대북전단지를 평양상공으로 보낸 것이 한국이라며 억지 주장을 펼치고 있다. 10월3일, 9일, 10일, 3일동안 무인기가 평양상공에 들어왔다는 것이다.

북한의 뜬금없는 무인기 침투 주장에 대해 한국 합동참모본부는 즉각 “군이 북한에 무인기를 보낸 것은 없다”며 부인했다. 하지만 국회 국방위 국정감사를 받고 있던 김용현 한국 국방부 장관은 ‘북한의 무인기 침투 주장을 묻는 야당의원의 질문에 “그런 적이 없다”고 답변했다가 회의를 하고 난 뒤엔 “북한 주장에 대해 사실 여부를 확인해 줄 수 없다”고 공식 입장을 밝혔다.

It is reported that North Korea held an emergency NSC meeting today (15th) with Kim Jong-un in attendance and discussed increasing the level of military response.

북한은 오늘(15일) 김정은이 참석한 가운데 긴급 NSC회의를 개최하고 군사적 대응수위를 높일것에 대해 논의한 것으로 알려졌다.

북한은 ‘국경 요새화’를 선언한후 14일 경의선과 동해선등 남북 연결도로를 폭파했다.  남북연결도로는 한국인의 혈세 1800억원이 들어갔고 개성공단 역시 한국인의 혈세로 지어진 빌딩을 무자비하게 폭파시켜버렸다.

In response to a question about the bombing of the inter-Korean road, he said, “We continue to urge North Korea to reduce tensions and stop all actions that increase the risk of conflict, and we also continue to encourage a return to dialogue and diplomacy.”

남북 연결도로를 폭파한 데 대한 질문에는 “우리는 북한이 긴장을 완화하고 충돌의 위험을 높이는 모든 행동을 중단할 것을 계속 촉구하고 있으며, 대화와 외교로 복귀할 것도 계속 독려하고 있다”고 밝혔다.

As North Korea's provocative rhetoric and military actions against South Korea increase, tensions on the Korean Peninsula are rising more than ever.

북한의 한국을 향한 도발적 수사와 군사적 행동수위가 높아지면서 한반도에서의 긴장은 그 어느때 보다 고조되고 있는 상황이다.

Russia defended North Korea not to violate its sovereignty and warned that it would provide military support in case of war.

러시아는 북한의 주권을 침해하지말라고 북한을 옹호하고 나서면서 전쟁시 군사적 지원을 할 것이라고 경고했다.

I think that the ROK-U.S. alliance is more important than ever and that it is time for South Korea, the U.S. and Japan to unite thoroughly.

한.미 동맹이 어느때 보다 중요함과 동시에 한미일이 철저하게 단합해야 할 때가 아닌가 생각한다.

Meanwhile, Russia defended North Korea, saying it violated North Korea’s sovereignty, and warned against using offensive force. What is the United States position, and how can you explain North Korea’s escalation of tensions on the Korean Peninsula?

A:(MR MILLER): So I would refer to the Republic of Korea to speak to the first part of the question. And when it comes to the actions by the DPRK, we have seen them continue to take steps that raise tensions, and we will encourage – continue to encourage them to take the opposite path, to reduce tensions, and stop any actions that could increase the risk of conflict.

A:(MR MILLER): I don’t have any further comment beyond what I said in response to Shaun’s question on the same topic a minute ago.

“we are monitoring the situation in the DPRK in close coordination with our Republic of Korea allies. We continue to urge the DPRK to reduce tensions and cease any actions that would increase the risk of conflict, and we encourage the DPRK to return to dialogue and diplomacy.”
