Ukrainian Kiev Post and Russian media reported that six North Korean military officers were killed and three wounded on the battlefield in Ukraine.

러시아의 우크라이나 전장에서 북한군 장교 6명이 사망하고 3명이 부상했다는 우크라이나 키이우 포스트지와 러시아 언론이 보도했다.

Russian media acknowledged the deployment of North Korean troops and stated that they were agents controlling the quality of weapons. However, since Russia and North Korea have mutual military cooperation and arms deals, it can be seen that they can sufficiently dispatch North Korean troops.

러시아 언론은 북한군의 파병된 것을 인정하면서 이는 무기 품질을 관리하는 요원이라고 밝혔다. 하지만 러시아와 북한은 상호 군사협력관계를 맺고 있고 무기거래를 하고 있기 때문에 충분히 북한군을 파견할수 있다고 볼 수 있다.

Meanwhile, South Korea's Minister of National Defense said at the National Defense Commission's audit yesterday, "There is a possibility that the North Korean Army may be sent additional troops to the Ukraine war for Russia."

한편 한국 국방부장관은 어제 국방위원회 국정감사에서 “북하군이 러시아를 위해 우크라이나 전쟁에 추가 파병될수 있다는 가능성이 있다.”고 밝혔다.

Several circumstances suggest that Russia also intends to intervene in the Middle East war. Considering that Russian Defense Minister Shoigu recently visited Iran after visiting North Korea, the possibility of North Korea and Iran intervening in the Middle East war cannot be ruled out.

러시아는 또한 중동전쟁에도 개입할 의도가 있음을 여러 정황으로 보아 짐각할수 있다. 최근 쇼이구 러시아 국방장관이 북한을 방문한후 이란을 방문한 것을 보아 북한과 이란이 중동전에 개입할 가능성도 배제할수 없다.

QUESTION:(Janne Pak): Thank you, Sabrina. Two questions. It was reported that North Korean military officers were confirmed dead, six persons, and three were wounded in Russian occupied territory due to a Ukraine missile attack. What do you think about North Korean militaries fighting for Russia's war in Ukraine?

A:(MS. SINGH): So, I haven't seen those reports, Janne, so I can't confirm that. In terms of support to Russia, I mean, we've certainly seen North Korea willing to support Russia by military means. It's something that we continue to monitor. But what we're more concerned about is supporting Ukraine in what it needs to be successful on the battlefield, and you're going to see us continue to do that.

QUESTION:(Janne Pak): Today, South Korea's Defense Minister said that, since North Korea and Russia have established their mutual military cooperation relationship, there is a possibility that additional North Korean troops will be dispatched to Russia. How does the U.S. view this?

오늘 한국 국방부장관은 북한과 러시아가 상호 군사협력관계를 수립한 만큼 북한이 러시아에 추가 병력을 파견할 가능성이 있다고 밝혔습니다. 미국은 이를 어떻게 보고 있는가요?

A:(MS. SINGH): Yeah, Janne, I don't have anything more to add other than what I said. I'm not aware of these reports that you're citing so I just really can't offer further comment on it.
