North Korea continues to send trash balloons to South Korea. So far, the trash balloons, which have been indiscriminately distributed 10 times in 3,300 locations, have been dropped on the President's Office, the Ministry of National Defense, and US military bases in Korea.

Fires are even emerging as a serious problem, with trash balloons falling into ordinary houses bursting and causing fires.

북한이 남한으로 오물풍선 계속 보내고 있다. 지금까지 10차례 3천3백곳에 무차별적으로 살포되고 있는 오물풍선은 대통령실, 국방부 그리고 주한미군기지등에 낙하됐다.

심지어는 오물풍선이 낙하된 일반 주택에 낙하된 오물풍선이 터지면서 화재가 발생되고 있어 심각한 문제로 부각되고 있다.

While damage is occurring due to North Korea's irrational provocations, the South Korean government is considering ways to attack North Korea's trash balloons, and the South Korean Ministry of Defense has finally announced that it will respond to North Korea's trash balloons with laser beams rather than bullets as a countermeasure. In response to North Korea's dispersal of trash balloons, South Korean military authorities are currently resuming loudspeaker broadcasts to North Korea.

북한 오물풍선은 한국의 인천공항과 김포공항의 항공기의 이착륙을 중단시키는 위험한 물체이다. 북한의 오물 풍선 살포에 대응해 한국 군 당국은 현재 대북 확성기 방송을 재개하고 있다.

The U.S. State Department said that North Korea's spraying of trash balloons against South Korea "is defined as a reckless and unstable provocation." also emphasized that the safety and security of Americans living in South Korea and their military families are very important.

미 국무성은 북한의 대남 오물 풍선 살포를 “무모하고 불안정한 도발로 규정한다.”고 밝혔다. 또한 한국에 거주하는 미국인들과 미 군인가족의 안전과 보안이 매우 중요하게 여긴다고 강조했다.
