On January 16, President Trump proclaimed 2026 as Religious Freedom Day. In signing the proclamation, President Trump stated that for 250 years, our nation and its people have upheld a simple truth.

트럼프 대통령은 16일 2026년 종교 자유의 날을 선포 했다.  트럼프 대통령은 이날 선포문에 서명하면서, 250년 동안 우리 국가와 국민은 하나의 단순한 진리를 지켜왔다고 밝혔다.

He then stated that every person is born with the right, granted by God, to practice their faith, act according to their conscience, and worship God freely without fear.

그러면서 모든 사람은 신이 부여한 권리로서 자신의 신앙을 실천하고 양심에 따라 행동하며, 두려움 없이 자유롭게 신을 숭배할 권리를 가지고 태어났다고 말했다.

President Trump stated, "On Religious Freedom Day, we celebrate America's unique place in history as the only republic founded on this sacred principle, and we reaffirm our commitment to upholding our proud heritage as one glorious nation under God."

트럼프 대통령은 “종교 자유의 날을 맞아 우리는 이 신성한 원칙위에 세워진 유일한 공화국으로서 역사에 길이 남을 미국의 특별한 위상을 기리며, 하나님 아래 하나의 영광스러운 국가로서 우리의 자랑스러운 유산을 지켜나가겠다는 약속을 새롭게 다짐한다.”고 밝혔다.

President Trump stated that in this historic declaration, Founding Father Thomas Jefferson proclaimed that God "created the mind free," and that every individual "should be free to express their opinions on matters of religion." These principles, enacted into Virginia law on January 16, 1786, later formed the basis of the First Amendment, forever enshrining the free exercise of religion.

트럼프 대통령은 건국의 아버지 토머스 제퍼슨은 이 역사적인 선언에서 하나님께서 "마음을 자유롭게 창조하셨다"고 선포하며 모든 개인이 "종교 문제에 있어 자신의 의견을 자유롭게 표현할 수 있어야 한다"고 밝혔다. 1786년 1월 16일 버지니아 법으로 제정된 이러한 원칙들은 이후 수정헌법 제1조의 기초가 되어 신앙의 자유로운 실천을 영원히 기록했다.

“Because the revolution of common sense cannot be completed without a revival of faith in God, I established the White House Office of Faith and the Religious Freedom Commission to further strengthen families and protect religious freedom. I also established a task force to eradicate anti-Christian bias, directing it to identify and eliminate all anti-Christian policies, practices, and actions within executive departments and agencies.”

“상식의 혁명은 하나님에 대한 신앙의 부활 없이는 완성될 수 없기 때문이다. 가족을 더욱 강화하고 종교의 자유를 보호하기 위해 저는 백악관 신앙 사무소와 종교 자유 위원회를 설립했습니다. 또한 반기독교적 편견을 근절하기 위한 태스크포스를 설립하여 행정부처 및 기관의 모든 반기독교적 정책, 관행 및 행위를 식별하고 제거하도록 했다.“

And as part of our administration’s historic ‘Freedom 250’ initiative, we have launched the ‘America Prays’ campaign. This is an invitation for all Americans to come together and pray for wisdom, guidance, and blessings as our republic enters a new era of greatness,” he said.
