On January 9 (local time), President Trump held a historic meeting at the White House with the CEOs of major oil companies  to discuss investment plans for rebuilding Venezuela's devastated oil industry following recent U.S. actions against Venezuela.

트럼프 대통령은 9일(현지시간) 백악관에서 미국의 주요 석유 회사 경영진과 만나 역사적인 회담을 갖고 최근 미국의 대베네수엘라 조치 이후 베네수엘라의 황폐해진 석유 산업 재건을 위한 투자 방안을 논의했다.

This meeting with executives from U.S. oil companies was part of the U.S. administration's efforts to attract up to $100 billion in investment in the energy sector and increase oil production.

이번 미국 석유회사 경영진과의 회담은 미국 행정부가 에너지 부문에 최대 1,000억 달러 규모의 투자를 유치하고 석유 생산량을 증대시키려는 노력의 일환으로 진행됐다.

The meeting was attended by Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, and the CEOs of major oil companies including Chevron, ExxonMobil, and ConocoPhillips.

President Trump said that if American oil companies were to enter Venezuela and revitalize and develop its oil industry, it would be "a great benefit to the American people."
