[트럼프 대통령 대국민 담화 발표_"미국, 사실상 이란전쟁에서 승리!]

"If Iran refuses to negotiate, we will blast it back to the Stone Age!"

[이란 협상하지 않으면 "석기시대"로 만들어 놓을것!]

(4월1일(현지시간) 트럼프 대통령이 백악관에서 이란 전쟁에 대한 대국민 담화를 연설하고 있다.)<<<

President Trump addressed the nation at 9 p.m. (local time) on April 1, explaining the ongoing war with Iran.

트럼프 대통령은 1일(현지시간 ) 저녁 9시 대국민 연설을 통해 현재 진행중인 이란과의 전쟁에 대해 설명했다.

In an address to the nation, President Trump stated that during the one-month war with Iran, Iranian leaders were killed and key facilities were nearly destroyed.

트럼프 대통령은 대국민 연설에서1달간의 이란과의 전쟁에서 이란의 지도자들은 사망했으며, 주요시설들이 거의 파괴되었다고밝혔다.

President Trump further clarified that the United States' objective in the war against Iran was the complete elimination of nuclear weapons, not regime change.

트럼프 대통령은 미국의 이란에 대한 전쟁 목표는 핵무기를 완전히 제거하는 것이었으며, 정권교체가 아니라고 밝혔다.

While asserting that the United States has already achieved an overwhelming victory in the war, he signaled that the U.S. would launch intense attacks against Iran over the next two to three weeks to force its capitulation to negotiations, emphasizing that he would reduce the country to an irrecoverable "Stone Age" state.

그러면서 현재 미국이 앞도적으로 전쟁에 승리했다고 밝히면서, 하지만 이란에게  협상에 대한 굴복을 위해  2-3주 이란에게 강력한게 공격할 것을 시사하면서, 복구 불가능한 '석기 시대' 로 돌려놓겠다고 강조했다.

President Trump also stated that the issue of passage through the Strait of Hormuz is "a matter that each individual nation must handle on its own, as the United States rarely utilizes the Strait," adding, "If you cannot access Hormuz, then simply buy American oil instead."

트럼프 대통령은 또한 호르무즈 해협 통과 문제는 “각 국가가 알서서 해야 할 문제이며, 미국은 호르무즈 해협을 거의 사용하지 않는다.”면서 “ 호르무즈를 못가면 미국산 석유를 사라.”고도 말했다.

This aligns with the response President Trump gave—as well as the connections involved—when I (Janne Pak) questioned him last week on the White House South Lawn.

이는 지난주 본기자(제니 박)가 백악관 사우스롼에서 트럼프 대통령에게 질문했던 답변과 인맥이 상통하다.

Question:(Janne Pak): Mr. President, Do you still want South Korea support the United States?

질문): 기자(제니 박): 대통령님 여전히 한국이 지원(군함)해 주기를 원하느냐?

Answer: (President Trump): “I love South Korea. We have a great relatiomship with South Korea. We(the U.S.) are helping South Korea a lot.”

답변):( 트럼프 대통령): “나는 한국을 사랑한다. 우리는 한국과 훌륭한 관계다 우리(미국)는 한국을 많이 돕고 있다.”고 답변했다.

When President Trump states that he loves Korea and enjoys an excellent relationship with the country, he is conveying that—while he indeed holds affection for the Korean people and maintains strong ties, and despite the significant assistance the U.S. provides to Korea (such as through the presence of U.S. Forces Korea)—he harbors indirect dissatisfaction regarding the Korean government's ambiguous stance concerning the recent conflict with Iran.

트럼프 대통령이 한국을 사랑하고 한국과 훌륭한 관계다고 말하것은 한국 국민을 사랑하며 훌륭한 관계를 유지하지만, 주한미군등을 통하여 한국을 많이 돕고 있지만, 이번 이란전쟁에서 한국정부의 불분면한 태도에 대한 우회적인 불만을 표현하고 있다.

Furthermore, in response to a reporter's question, President Trump remarked, "We [the U.S.] have no need to use the Strait of Hormuz. Since Middle Eastern nations—as well as China, Japan, and Korea—are the ones utilizing the strait, it is up to these countries to resolve the matter themselves." In other words, he signaled that the United States intends to disengage from the issue concerning the strait.

트럼프 대통령은 또한 기자의 질문에 대한 답변으로, “우리(미국)은 호르무즈를 사용할 필요가 없다. 중동국가와 중국,일본, 한국등이 해협을 사용하고 있기때문에 이들 국가들이 알아서 해결해야한다.”고  말했다.  즉 미국은 해협이슈에서 손을 떼겠다고 암시했다.

Against this backdrop, foreign ministers from some 40 countries—including South Korea—convened virtually on the 2nd (local time) to explore ways to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which has been blockaded due to the conflict with Iran.

이런가운데 대이란 전쟁으로 봉쇄된 호르무즈 해협의 개방 방안을 모색하기 위해 한국을 비롯한 세계 40여개국 외교장관들이 2일(현지시간) 화상으로 모여 논의했다.

In her opening remarks that afternoon, UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, who presided over the meeting, stated, “Today, we are focusing on diplomatic and international initiatives, including the collective mobilization of the full range of diplomatic and economic tools and pressure.”

회의를 주재한 이베트 쿠퍼 영국 외무장관은 이날 오후 모두발언에서 “우리는 오늘 모든 범위의 외교적, 경제적 수단과 압력의 집단 동원을 포함한 외교적, 국제적 계획에 초점을 맞추고 있다”고 밝혔다.

In light of President Trump's remarks signaling a withdrawal from the conflict with Iran, indications suggest that the nations utilizing the Strait of Hormuz will effectively have to take the lead in resolving the issue of its accessibility.

이란전쟁에서 손을 떼기위한 트럼프 대통령의 발언에 맞춰 사실상 호르무즈 해협을 사용하는 국가들이 개방문제를 해결해야 될 조짐이 보인다.

By signaling that it will no longer act as the "world's policeman," the United States demonstrates a commitment to prioritizing its own interests in the future, in alignment with its "America First" policy. (End)
