On the 31st (local time), President Trump held his 13th Cabinet meeting since the start of his second term at his resort in Camp David, Maryland.

트럼프 대통령은 31일(현지시간) 메릴랜즈주 캠프 데이비드에 있는 자신의 리조트에서 두번재 임기를 시작한 이후 13번째 내각 회의를 개최했다.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the meeting took place at the presidential retreat within the Camp David complex and was intended to offer Cabinet members a "new experience."

캐롤라인 리빗 백악관 대변인은 이번 회의가 캠프 데이비드 리조트에 있는 대통령 별장에서 열렸으며, 각료들에게 "새로운 경험"을 제공하기 위한 것이었다고 밝혔다.

This gathering marked the first time in U.S. history that a Cabinet meeting held at Camp David was broadcast live on television.

이번 내각회의는 미국의 역사상 캠프 데이비드에서 최초의 실시간 텔레비젼 내각회의를 위해 내각을 소집했다고 알려졌다.

Meanwhile, Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton and Secretary of Labor Keith Sonderling drew attention by attending the meeting for the first time.

한편 제이 클레이튼 국가정보국장과 키스 손더링 노동부 장관이 이번 회의에 처음 참석해 눈길을 끌었다.

This session highlighted that the administration has demonstrated faster progress in restoring U.S. strength, security, prosperity, and common sense following years of decline.

이번 세션은  행정부가 수년간의 쇠퇴 이후 미국의 힘, 안보, 번영 및 상식을 회복하는 데 있어 더 빠른 진전을 보여주었다고 밝혔다.

At the start of the meeting, President Trump referred to it as a "very special event."

트럼프 대통령은 회의 시작에서 이 회의를 "매우 특별한 일"이라고 언급 했다.

President Trump began the meeting by highlighting some of his administration's signature achievements for American families.

트럼프 대통령은 미국 가정을 위한 그의 행정부의 대표적인 업적 중 일부를 강조하며 회의를 시작했다.

"When we took office, we inherited a total disaster. The previous administration caused the worst inflation in 48 years, created the most dangerous and unstable border in history, and led to an explosive trade deficit the likes of which we had never seen before."

Rampant crime, the assault on women's sports, the destruction of children through the transgender agenda, and chaos and violence spreading across the globe. In less than 18 months, we have reversed four years of disaster, and we now have the strongest border in American history. The murder rate has seen its largest recorded drop, reaching its lowest level in 125 years.

He continued, "We launched the Trump account on July 4th, which is a key provision of our 'Great Big Beautiful Bill.' These tax-free investment savings accounts have already been activated for over 7 million children. They are an investment in our future."

이어 «7월4일에 우리는 트럼프 계정을 출시했으며, 이는 우리 Great Big Beautiful Bill의 핵심 조항이다. 이러한 비과세 투자 저축 계좌는 이미 700만 명이 넘는 어린이들에 의해 활성화 되었다. 이것들은 우리 미래에 대한 투자이다.»고 말했다.

Vice President Vance reported significant progress in the administration's aggressive campaign to combat fraud.

Vance 부통령은 행정부의 사기 방지를 위한 적극적인 캠페인에서 큰 진전을 보고 했다.

"Since the launch of the fraud task force which I initiated under the President's leadership and direction we have identified $230 billion in fraud and have already halted $56 billion of it. Today, Mr. President, we are announcing 17 new anti-fraud measures totaling approximately $1.01 billion an amount in addition to the $230 billion we have already uncovered."

Regarding the Iran issue which remains a concern for President Trump he did not present reporters with a concrete plan to end the conflict; instead, he merely remarked that the situation would "weaken" over time.

트럼프 대통령에게 여전히 우려 사항으로 남아 있는 이란문제에 대해, 트럼프 대통령은 기자들에게 전쟁 종식을 위한 구체적인 계획을 제시하지 않았다, 하지만, 시간이 지남에 따라 «약해질 것»이라고만 대통령이 언급했다.

When asked about the possibility of expanding military operations, he reiterated that the United States had "already fought a major war."

군사작전 확대 가능성에 대한 질문에는 미국이 «이미 큰 전쟁을 치렀다»고 재차 강조했다.

Regarding the prospects for resuming negotiations, he also said, "They (Iran) have broken too many promises; what they are doing just makes me angry."

또한 협상 재개 전망에 대해서는 «그들(이란)은 너무 많은 약속을 어겼다, 그들(이란)이 하는 짓은 나를 화나게 할 뿐이다.»라고 말했다.

Although the war between the United States and Iran was initially expected to end within a few weeks, it has now entered its fifth month with no signs of abating.

미국과 이란과의 전쟁은 당초 몇 주 만에 끝날 것으로 예상되었지만, 현재 5개월째 접어들었으며 진정될 기미를 보이지 않고 있다.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed interest in other international issues as well, noting that the Trump administration has achieved numerous diplomatic successes beyond the Middle East that have not received the attention they deserve.

마르코 루비오 국무장관은 중동 문제 외에도 트럼프 행정부가 마땅히 받아야 할 관심을 받지 못한 많은 외교적 성과를 거두었다며, 다른 국제 문제에도 관심을 표명했다.

Meanwhile, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth devoted a significant portion of his speech to praising the President's leadership and emphasized that Washington is still considering various options regarding the war.

한편, 피트 헤그세스 전쟁부 장관은 연설의 상당 부분을 대통령의 지도력을 칭찬하는 데 할애했으며, 워싱턴이 여전히 전쟁에 대한 여러 가지 선택지를 고려하고 있음을 강조했다.

President Trump’s decision to select Camp David as the venue for this meeting is considered quite unusual. Unlike his predecessors, he has rarely visited Camp David, typically spending his weekends at his own resorts or golf courses in Florida and New Jersey.

이번에 트럼프 대통령이 캠프 데이비드를 회의 장소로 선택한 것은 상당히 이례적인 것으로 여겨진다. 과거 다른 대통령들과는 달리 그는 캠프 데이비드를 거의 방문하지 않고 보통 플로리다와 뉴저지에 있는 자신의 리조트나 골프장에서 주말을 보내왔기 때문이다.

Therefore, the decision to convene a cabinet meeting there amidst ongoing tensions with Iran is being interpreted as an attempt by the White House to secure a separate venue for discussing strategic issues.

따라서 이란과의 갈등이 계속되는 가운데 이곳에서 내각 회의를 소집하기로 한 결정은 백악관이 전략적 문제를 논의할 별도의 장소를 마련하려는 의도로 해석되고 있다.

After the meeting concludes, President Trump will head to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, to rest over the weekend.

회의가 끝난 후 트럼프 대통령은 뉴저지주 베드민스터에 있는 자신의 골프 클럽으로 가서 주말 동안 휴식을 취한다.(끝)
