@On the 13th (local time), President Trump held a Q&A session with reporters at the White House before boarding Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House to visit U.S. Special Forces units at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. *The photo shows Janne Pak asking President Trump a question.

President Trump answered several questions from White House reporters waiting on the South Lawn of the White House before boarding Marine One to visit Fort Bragg, an Army Special Forces base in North Carolina, on the afternoon of the 13th (local time).

트럼프 대통령은 13일(현지시간) 오후 노스캘로아이나주에 있는 육군특수부대인 포트 브래그를 방문하기 위해 백악관 사우스론에서 마린원에 탑승하기전 대기하고 있던 백악관 출입기자들에게 여러개의 질문을 받았다.

President Trump approached reporters and he began by touting healthy economic numbers, noting that in comparison to the Biden era “we have very modest inflation, which is what you want.”

트럼프 대통령은 기자들에게 닥아와 건전한 경제수치에 대해 언급하면서 “바이든 시대와 비교했을때 우리는 매우 완만한 인플레이션을 가지고 있으며, 이것이 여러분이 원하는 바이다.”고 말했다.

Asked to explain sending a second U.S. aircraft carrier to the Middle East, President Trump replied, “well, in case we don’t make a deal, we’ll need it.” If a deal is achieved, he continued, “It’ll be leaving very soon.”

”두번째 미국 항공모함을 중동에 파견하는 것에 대해 설명하라.”는 질문을 받고, 트럼프 대통령은 “우리가 거래를 성사하지 못할 경우 필요하다.”고 답변하면서, “거래가 성사되면, 그는 계속해서 “곧 떠날 것이다.”라고 말했다.

On the state of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) negotiations, Trump said of the Republicans, "I know what they want, I Know what they can live with. “He continued, saying that “the Democrats have gone crazy. They’re radical left lunatics. That’s why their cities are so unsafe.”

국토안보부(DHS) 협상 현황에 대해 트럼프는 공화당에 대해 “그들이 원하는 것이 무엇인지 알고 있다. 그들이 어떤 상황에 살 수 있는지 안다.”고 말했다. 그러면서 “그들은 급진적인 좌파 광인이다. 그렇기 때문에 그들의 도시는 매우 위험하다.”고 말했다.

When asked about his willingness to reach an agreement to close the Department of Homeland Security, President Trump said, “we’ll see what happens,” adding, “We always have to protect law our law enforcement, “ before pivoting to highlight reduced crime numbers.

국토안보부 폐쇄에 대한 합의를 체결하려는 그의 의지를 물었을때, 트럼프 대통령은 “무언가 일어날지 지켜보겠다.”라고 답하면서, “우리는 항상 법집행 기관을 보호해야 한다.”라며 전환하기 전에 범죄 수 감소를 강조한다.”고 밝혔다.

On the current state of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, President Trump said, "Russia wants to make a deal, and Zelenskyy is going to have to get moving, otherwise he’s going to miss a great opportunity. He has to move.”

우크라이나와 러시아의 협상 현황에 대해 트럼프 대통령은, “러시아는 거래를 원하고, 젤렌스키는 움직여야 하며, 그렇지 않으면 좋은 기회를 놓치게 될것.”이라고 말했다. 그러면서 “그는 움직여야 한다.”고 말했다.

Asked if Israeli Prime Minister Natanyahu would receive a pardoned, President Trump said, “I do think so, yeah!”

나타냐후 이스라엘 총리가 사면을 받을 수 있는지 물었을때, 트럼프 대통령은 “그렇다고 생각한다, 네!”라고 답했다.

Asked if he would visit Venezuela, President Trump replied, “I’m going to make a visit to Venezuela” but did not offer any additional details.

베네수엘라를 방문할 것인지 물었을 때, 트럼프 대통령은 “나는 베네수엘라를 방문할 것이다.”라고 답했지만 추가적인 세부사핳은 제시하지 않았다.

Meanwhile, I asked, "President Trump, do you have any plans to meet with Kim Jong-il this year?" The president simply replied, "Not yet."

한편 나는 “트럼프 대통령님, 올해 김정일과 만날 계획이 있느냐?”는 질문을 했다. 대통령은 “아직 없다”고 짧게 답변했다.

President Trump wants to meet and talk with Kim Jong-un, but Kim has yet to provide a concrete response. It remains to be seen whether he will reveal a concrete position on meeting with Kim after his visit to China in April and his meeting with Xi Jinping. (End)

트럼프 대통령이 김정은과 만나서 대화를 하고 싶지만 김정은이 아직 이렇다할만한 답변을 주지 않고 있다.  오는 4월 중국을 방문해 시진핑과 만난후 김정은과의 만남에 대해 구체적인 입장이 나올지 주목된다.(끝)
