"Vice President Vance: “The Minneapolis shooting incident was an act of self-defense by law enforcement.”   [미네소타 총격사건은 법집행을 위한 정당방위!]

 "The government will not tolerate political violence or terrorism!"  [정부는 정치적 폭력, 테러 용납하지 않을것!]

Amidst the heated public debate surrounding the recent shooting of a woman by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, Vice President Vance held a press conference at the White House today (local time) to provide a detailed statement on the matter.

최근 미네아폴리스에서 일어난 ICE요원의 여성 총격사건에 대한 여론이 뜨거운 감자로 부각되고 있는 가운데 벤스 부통령이 오늘(8일, 현지시간) 백악관에서 기자회견을 갖고 자세한 입장을 밝혔다.

Vice President Vance stated, "The shooting incident involving ICE in Minnesota was an act of self-defense that occurred when a woman, a leader of protesters obstructing immigration enforcement, attempted to interfere with federal agents—ICE officers—in the performance of their duties."

벤스 부통령은 “이번 미네소타 ICE 총격사건은 이민단속을 방해하는 시위대 주동자인 여성이 연방요원인 ICE 요원들의 법집행을 막기위해 공무집행을 방해하려는 데서 발생한 정당방위 였다.”고 밝혔다.

The woman who died in the shooting was a ringleader who led the protesters. She blocked an immigration enforcement vehicle, obstructed official duties, and ignored the ICE agent who was holding onto the door to open the vehicle, driving away and ultimately meeting her demise.

총격에 사망한 여성은 시위대를 이끌었던 주동자였고 그녀는 이민단속반 차량을 가로막고 공무집행을 방해 했으며, 차량을 열고자 문을 잡고 있는 ICE요원을 무시하고 차량을 몰고 달려가다가 변을 당한것이다.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) stated that it has been excluded from the investigation into the shooting death of a woman by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent because ICE agents are federal officers and the matter will be handled at the federal level. The FBI is currently conducting the investigation.

ICE 이민단속반은 연방용원이므로 연방차원에서 달룰것이기 때문에 메네소타 주 범죄수사국(BCA)이 이민세관 집행국(ICE) 요원의 총격으로 여성이 사망한 사건에 대한 수사에서 제외되었고, 현제 FBI가 수사중에 있다고 밝혔다.

Regarding this woman's death, the Democratic Party is protesting against extreme immigration policies, condemning the incident as excessive force and calling it "murder," while the Trump administration is claiming that the shooting was an act of self-defense in response to interference with law enforcement officers from ICE. This incident has thus escalated into a political dispute.

이번 이 여성의 죽음에 대해 민주당은 극단적인 이민정책에 대한 반기를 들며 이번 사건에대해 과잉진압이라며 ‘살인행위’라고 비난하고 있고, 트럼프 행정부는 법집행기관인 ICE요원의 공무집행 방해에 대적하다 일어난 총격사건은 정당방위라고 말하면서 이번 사건이 정치적 공방으로 이어지고 있다.

Vice President Vance said that Democratic politicians were encouraging people to rebel against the current administration, and emphasized, "The government will not tolerate political violence or terrorism."

벤스 부통령은 민주당 정치인들이 현 정부에 반기를 들라고 부추기고 있다고 말하면서, “정부는, 정치적 폭력, 테러는 용납하지 않을것이다.”고 강조했다.

He also stated that they would thoroughly investigate the funding sources of the organized protesters and raised the possibility that systematically trained ANTIFA members were involved in this incident.

그러면서 “조직적 시위 분자들의 자금줄을 철저히 조사 할것이며 조직적으로 훈련된 ANTIFA들이 이번 사건에도 연루가 되어있다는 가능성을 밝혔다.

Amidst rampant false reporting surrounding this incident, Vice President Pence even read aloud a CNN headline that described the event as "an attack, not a shooting."

이번 사건에 대한 거짓 보도가 나무하고 있는 가운데, 벤스 부통령은 이번 사건을, “총격사건이 아닌 공격사건”으로  보도하고 있는 CNN의 기사 제목을 읽어 주기도 했다.

Vice President Vance said, "I'm not directing the investigation, but I don't know why that woman did what she did, but It's true that she violated the law.

벤스 부통령은 “자신은 수사를 지휘하는 것이 아니지만 그 여성이 왜 그랬는지 모르지만 법을 위반 한건 사실이다.“고 말했다.

American radical leftists claim that left-leaning media outlets are hindering law enforcement by prematurely reporting on the actions and intelligence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). They also allege that opposition politicians are inciting rebellion against the current administration.

미국의 급진 좌파들은 이민단속반(ICE)의 행동과 정보를 좌파 언론들이 미리 보도하며 알려주고 있어 법집행을 방해하고 있다고 밝혔다.  그러면서 야당 정치인들이 현 정부에 반기를 들라고 부추키고 있다고 말하기도 했다.

Meanwhile, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem asserted the legitimacy of the law enforcement actions, stating that the ICE agents "are not the ones who made the laws, but simply acted according to the legal guidelines against those who violated the law."

한편 크리스티 놈 국톤안보부 장관은 ICE요원에 대해 “그들은 법을 만든자가 아니고 법의 메뉴얼대로 법을 위반한 자들에게 행동했을 뿐이다.”며 법집행에 대한 정당성을 주장했다.

Observing these incidents, it seems that in both the U.S. and South Korea, when an incident occurs, the issue of self-defense is pushed aside, and left-leaning politicians try to turn it into a political issue, which only makes the situation more complicated. This seems to be a common pattern everywhere.(End)

이러한 사건을 보면서 미국이나 한국이나 어떤 사건이 발생하면 정당방위에 대해서는 뒷전이고 정치적인 이슈로 끌고 가려는 좌파성 정치가들의 행동이 사건을 더욱 어렵게 만들고 있는것은 어디나 닮은꼴인것 같다.(끝)
