Before boarding Marine One, President Trump departed Allentown, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, the 3rd (local time) and headed to the White House, he spoke to reporters about tariffs, the economy, and the end of war.

트럼프 대통령은 3일 일요일(현지시간) 펜실베이니아주 앨런타운을 출발하여 백악관으로 향하기전 전용기인 마린원에 탑승하기 전에 기자들에게 관세, 경제, 그리고 전쟁종식등에 관해 얘기했다.

President Trump had previously announced that tariffs ranging from 10% to 40% would begin on 70 countries on Thursday, the 7th (local time). He declared, "My tariff policy has been successful, and America is becoming a wealthy nation again." He also said, "I'm happy that 2.5 million jobs are being created," suggesting that rebates would soon be paid to Americans.

앞서 트럼프 대통령은 70개 국가가 오는 7일(목요일, 현지시간) 10%-40%의 관세가 시작된다고 발표했다. 그리고 “자신의 관세정책은 성공했으며 미국이 부자나라로 부흥하고 있다.”고 말했다. 그러면서 현재 250만 직업(Job)이 창출되고 있어 기쁘다.“고 말하면서 미국민들에게 리베이트가 곧 지불될 것이라고 시사했다.

President Trump arrived at the White House on the evening of the 3rd (local time) after spending the weekend in Bedminster. After disembarking from Marine One, he spoke to reporters. A reporter asked, "In July, we received $20 billion in tariff revenue. Is there a possibility of a refund? And in what form, and who would be eligible?"

트럼프 대통령은 이날(3일, 현지시간) 저녁 베드민스터에서 주말을 보내고 백악관에 도착해 마린원에서 내린후 기자들과의 게글에서 “7월에 관세 수입으로 200억 달러가 유입되었는데, 여기서 환급 가능성이 있을까요? 그리고 어떤 형태로, 누가 자격이 될까요?“라는 기자의 질문에,

"We're going to pay down the debt. There's a ton of money coming in. It's the most this country has ever seen, hundreds of billions of dollars," he said. "And we could pay dividends to the people," he added. "We could also pay dividends for the middle class and low-income people." "But one of the things we're going to do is reduce the debt."

"우리는 부채(빛)를 갚을 것이다. 엄청난 돈이 들어오고 있다. 이 나라(미국)가 여태까지 본 적 없는, 수천억 달러에 달하는 엄청난 돈이다.“ ”그리고 국민들에게 배당금을 지급할 수도 있을 것이다.“고 말했다. 그러면서 ”중산층과 저소득층을 위한 배당금 지급도 가능할 것이다.“ ”하지만 우리가 할 일 중 하나는 부채(빛)를 줄이는 것이다."고 덧붙였다.

Earlier Thursday, when White House Press Secretary Leavitt, I was asked about the “South Korea-U.S. tariff negotiations,” she said, "The key point of the deal is that South Korea has agreed to invest $350 billion, at the direction of the President (Trump), to revitalize American industry,” she said. “And 90 percent of that profit will go to the U.S. government to pay off our debt and solve other problems.”

앞서 지난 목요일 레빗 백악관 대변인이 “한국과 미국의 관세협상”에 대한 나의 질문을 받고, 그녀는 “협상의 핵심은 한국이 미국 산업을 활성화 하기 위해 대통령(트럼프)의 지시에 따라 3500억 달러를 투자하기로 합의했다.” “그리고 그 이익의 90%는 우리(미국)의 부채(빛)을 갚고, 다른문제를 해결하기 위해 미국 정부에 들어갈 것이다.”고 말했다.

Asked “Have those nuclear subs been deployed yet?” Trump said,“I’ve already put out a statement, the answer is they are in the region.”

“미국의 핵잠수함 배치는 이미 완료됐나요?“라는 질문에는, "이미 성명을 냈는데, 그 지역에 배치됐다는 게 답입니다."라고 강조했다.

There are concerns that a nuclear confrontation between the superpowers, the United States and Russia, may actually begin.

미국과 러시아, 강대강국의 핵 대결이 과연 시작될지 우려스럽다.

*Americans have no reason to object to the success of Trump's tariff negotiations. They welcome the benefits, not only because they won't have to pay more in taxes to repay their debts, but also because per capita rebates will soon be paid.

미국민들은 트럼프의 관세협상이 성공적이라는데 대해 과히 반대 할 이유가 없다. 왜냐면 미국민들에게 그 이익이 돌아가며, 국가 빛을 갚기 위해 자신들의 주머니에서 세금이 더 나가지 않는 것은 물론이고 동시에 일인당 리베이트가 곧 지불된다는데 환영하고 있다.

Kevin Hessett (Chairman of the White House Economic Council) also appeared on MBC on the 3rd and said that the Trump administration's tariff negotiations were the most successful in history in reviving the U.S. economy.

캐빈 헤셋(백악관 경제위원회 의장)도 3일 MBC 방송에 출연, 트럼프 행정부의 관세협상은 미국 경제를 살리는 역대 가장 성공적인 일이었다고 말했다.

*In negotiations, if someone gains, the other party inevitably suffers losses, whether large or small. Negotiations with equal gains are rare.

협상에서는 반드시 이익을 보는자가 있으면 상대는 크든 작든 분명히 손실을 갖기 마련이다. 동등한 이익을 가지는 협상이란 거의 드물다.

In this light, President Trump's US tariff negotiations are highly successful in the context of advocating for America First, and are being welcomed by taxpaying Americans.

이렇게 볼 때 트럼프 대통령의 미국 관세협상은 어메리카 퍼스트(미국 우선주의)를 주장하는 차원에서 비춰볼 때 매우 성공적이며 또한 세금을 내고 있는 미국민들이 이를 환영하고 있다.

The world is currently caught in the crossfire of America's unprecedented America First policies, which are rapidly evolving in areas such as tariffs, economics, defense, and security. (End)

세계는 지금 관세, 경제 국방 안보등 급변하게 돌아가는 미국의 전례없는 미국우선주의 정책에 휩쓸려 이러지도 저러지도 못할 처지에 놓여있다.

The biggest concern is what will happen at the upcoming South Korea-U.S. summit, including on tariffs, national defense, increase of defense sharing , and alliance modernization.

다가올 한미 정상회담에서 관세 및 국방, 방위비 분담금 증액, 동맹현대화등 어떤 결말이 나올지가 최대의 관심사다.
