At a White House briefing today (20th, local time), White House National Security Advisor Michael Waltz said, “If there's anybody in this world that can go toe to toe with Putin, that could go toe to toe with XI that could go toe to toe with Kim Jong UN and you could keep going down the list it's Donald J.Trump." "He is the dealmaker in chief."

미 백악관 마이클 왈츠 국가안보보좌관은 오늘(20일, 현지시간) 백악관 브리핑에서 “트럼프 행정부의 대러시아를 대응할수 있는 역량”에 대한 질문에, “이 세상에 푸틴과 시진핑, 김정은과 맞설수 있는 사람은 트럼프 대통령.”이라면서 “그는 최고의 협상가”라고 말했다.

He added, "There is no question that he is the commander in chief and I for one and I think all Americans and around the world should have no doubt about his ability to not only handle Putin but to handle the complexity of driving this war to an end.”

그러면서 “그(트럼프 대통령)가 최고 사령관이라는 데는 의심의 여지가 없다.”며 “저는 모든 미국인과 전 세계가 푸틴을 다룰 수 있는 능력뿐만 아니라 이 전쟁을 끝내기 위한 복잡성을 다룰 수 있는 그의 능력에 의심의 여지가 없다고 생각한다.”고 강조했다.

Since taking office on January 20, President Trump has mentioned North Korea's Kim Jong-un several times, and recently, during a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba following a summit and in an interview with Fox News, he emphasized his close relationship, saying, "I know North Korea's Kim Jong-un better than anyone else."

트럼프 대통령은 지난 1월 20일 취임 이후 여러 차례 김정은 북한 김정은을 언급해 왔으며 최근 이시바 시계루 일본 총리와의 정상회담후 공동기자회견 및 폭스뉴스와의 인터뷰에서도 “북한 김정은을 누구보다 잘 안다.”면서 친분 관계를 강조했다.

As National Security Advisor Waltz emphasized President Trump's diplomatic capabilities and said that he is the only one who can stand up to dictators including North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, allies support President Trump's strong determination, but are concerned that if he makes a unilateral judgment and ignores the wishes of his allies and runs wild on his own, there could be enormous side effects.

왈츠 국가안보보좌관이 트럼프 대통령의 외교 역량을 강조하면서 북한 리더 김정은을 비롯한 독재자들에 맞설 수 있는 유일한 인물이라고 밝힌데 대해 동맹국들은 트럼프 대통령의 강한 결단력에는 찬성하지만 자칫 독단적인 판단으로 동맹국들의 의사를 무시하고 단독으로 질주한다면 엄청난 부작용도 발생할 것을 우려하고 있다.

Kim Jong-un recently emphasized the strengthening of their nuclear capabilities and presented the constitution as stating that denuclearization is impossible.

김정은은 최근 자신들의 핵역량 강화를 강조하면서 비핵화가 불가능하다고 헌법에 제시했다.

The prevailing view among experts is that relations with North Korea should be approached cautiously, as Russia and North Korea currently have military cooperation, unlike in the past.

과거와 달리 러시아와 북한이 현재 군사협력을 맺고 있기 때문에 북한과의 관계에 신중히 접급해야 된다는 전문가들의 지배적인 입장이다.(끝)
