Russia must take responsibility; "Russia is the actual culprit causing ‘security concerns’ in the United States, South Korea, and Japan."

@Q&A with a State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller and Janne Pak at the State Department Press Briefing on November 25, 2024.

As the war between Russia and Ukraine reaches its peak, Russia is making its last efforts by including North Korean troops to be sent into the war.

The U.S. State Department made it clear on the 25th (local time) that “Russia is raising ‘security concerns’ in the United States and South Korea.” and emphasized that “Russia alone is responsible for these very real security concerns.”

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said in an interview with Russia's TASS news agency on the 24th (local time), “The Korean government must realize that if South Korean-made weapons are used to kill Russian citizens, Russia-South Korea relations could be completely destroyed.”

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said that if South Korea provide lethal weapons to Ukraine, the relationship between the two countries will be completely destroyed and the United States is also responsible for this. How will you react to this?

A:(MR MILLER): Look, I don’t want to deal with a hypothetical situation. But it is Russia – and Russia alone – that is responsible for the very real security concerns that South Korea and the United States and Japan and any number of other countries have about the movement of DPRK troops to join the fight in Russia against Ukraine.
